For someone who has been LEGAL, law abiding (includes tax payment) for say 10 years, should be considered. This will ensure fairness to the average EB time for becoming a US citizen.
(Why should one be penalized this badly if their company/lawyer decided their category (EB2/3), or if s/he decided not to marry a US citizen?)
Please feel free to debate....

Thanks trueguy!. It took me a while to realize that some people here are trying to misguide and misrepresent. Wish I had not spent so much of my time replying to those inane posts.
There is no basis for Oct PD to be at or near Jun 2007 PD levels, it is only to lull us into inaction. And I would be more than happy to be wrong about this :o
And it looks like some one was asked by their teacher to write imposition... and therefore we are seeing repeat dribble of the same post.
Absolutely, I have seen misleading comments especially from EB2 guys. EB3 have to do something otherwise there is no future for us here. Now EB2 line will never end bcoz all new applications will come as EB2. Hoping for spillover after EB2-I becomes current is just a dream now that never comes true.

Wrote an email to NPR (National Public Radio).
I also wrote to John Stossle 20 / 20 for a coverage (Skilled immigration) but haven't had any reply.
That would be awesome if NPR covers it. Thanks Karthik

I am sure you must have thought a lot before the 'foreclosure' came into your mind. Here is an advice. If there is not too much that you will have to put out from your own pocket, then it is better to take the hit and move on.
If you do foreclose, it might not be the best for credit history as well as in some random cases, job search. Jobs usually do a background check and that includes credit check in some cases as well. I hope it has no bearing but in some cases can. I don't think it will have any impact on your GC. Even if you don't have plans to buy a house, there are far more things that can impact. None of us want to live on credit but in US it is almost a necessary evil. Car, credit cards and the other nine yards that come with it also become scarce for the next few years. So, tread carefully.
Have you discussed with your bank? Foreclosure is a huge hit for the bank and they may be able to work with you on what you owe.
All the best.
Why do you have to live on credit?....you can go cash rich!!

I was thinking of buying a car but I have decided to hold off on it untill the presidentials elections are over. If obama is elected president I will not buy the car and will basically go into 100% saving mode because you never know when Durbin might kick us out. Nobody knows what sort of draconian rules are going to be put in place for EB community by Durbin. I have no confidence in Durbin to show any compassion\fairness towards Eb community. There might be hundreds of thousands of people holding off on purchasing a house, car or any big ticket item because of Durbin cir and there hostility towards Eb community. Hope I am proven wrong but I have not heard a single positive thing out of obama regarding EB community. Even when he was specifically asked about the green card delays faced by EB community he gave a evasive reply. He is always boasting about support for legal immigartion i.e family based immigration and not eb. I am not a obama hater nor a mcccain supporter but just a worried EB guy worried about his bleak future with Durbin lead cir.

I am in for this.
If some one has entered US legally and filed for GC, it means (most of the cases) they will wish to naturalize at some point..Technically once GC is approved path to citizenship steps up.
I like this idea of pushing for citizenship..but I would like to remove the clauses of measuring length of stay from 140-approved or 485-applied etc.
Why shouldnt we say, anyone who worked in US for 5 years (which means paying taxes etc)
should be naturalized directly ...When they can make illegals legals why not us?
Do we have a group in Linkedin? If not, I can take up the responsibility of spreading through Linkeid groups for support (I dont like facebook so I am not on it and Linkedid is supposedly a professional network)

we are giving USCIS options on how to deal with the campaign.
If they really do forward the flowers they need to think about seperating notes from flowers.
What will happen is - they will pluck the notes from the baskets and then forward the flower baskets as a batch to the vets. I am sure someone at USCIS is going to read the notes.

Thanks.
Can somebody please give us the link of the document that shows how many applied , yearwise.
Getting any sort of data out of any of the immigration agencies is often frustrating. Especially something like how many eb2 I-140 did they accept, approve, deny... However, they do randomly throw number out and we can scavenge through them for `clues'. Here is one such link.

Yeah.. weird right? The only conclusion can be that they DO have a hidden agenda.
I Unless they have a hidden agenda, they should be supporting IV's letter campaign.
How is this in conflict? Am I missing something?

I see the same. my pd is may 20.
Did anyone see any Soft LUDs on their 485 or old EADs before their approvals/RFEs?
My PD is June 7 2006, not current. Yesterday, I had a soft LUD on my 485 and my first EAD. These two haven't seen any activity since early 2009, and I'm wondering if this means anything or if I'm reading into this a little too much.
thanks,

If in Vegas, I will bet this total usage for EB2 I/C this year
EB1 20K (50% reduction from 40K)
EB2 ROW 10K (last year 9K, this year, some reduction)
EB5 8K (same as last year)
EB2 I/C 6K (5800 exact, regular supply)
Total 44K
Eb3 Porting 6K
New filing 2K (ppl who missed 07/2007 w/ PD before 07/2007, dependent)
Total usage 8K
EB2I/C demand before 07/31/2007
DOS, for having some buffer to counter (denial, RFEs, assuming little as most pre-adjudicated) will move PD for EB2/I
May 2011 12/2006
June 2011 2/2007
July 2011 6/2007
August 2011 8/2007
Remember, CIS can take in new applicants in August 2011 but don't have to approve it.
It will end between 06/2007 to 09/2007 almost 100%
Can we try and consolidate the predictions by Teddy, Rodnyb, GCwait2007 and others who did some major number crunching (not armchair predictors like me).
Teddy, based on what we know now especially the past few days, can you give your average, best, and worst case estimate for September 2011. Same for rodnyb and GCwait2007. Thanks!
Also importantly, if you could comment on the PD for EB3-I/C and EB-2 I/C in October 2011 once this year is over. Will we see it retrogress or current and what's your average case for the dates then.
